Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide drug that mimics growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) — the signal your brain uses to tell the pituitary to release growth hormone (GH). Rather than injecting GH itself, tesamorelin stimulates your body’s own GH production.
How It Works
Tesamorelin binds to receptors in the pituitary gland.
This stimulates release of endogenous growth hormone.
Growth hormone then increases fat metabolism (especially visceral fat) and raises IGF-1 (a hormone reflecting GH activity).
Importantly:
It doesn’t supply GH directly, so it doesn’t suppress your body’s own hormone production as strongly as synthetic GH injections do.
